Oh hell yeah, you heard right the Norway-based developer company, Opera has removed its Opera Max data saving app from Google Play Store.

Opera max is widely used data saving app specially designed to reduce data usage in android and speed up browsing. Even more this app is widely used as firewall to manage internet connection for different apps. It was realesed in 2014 and Opera realesed latest update for Opera Max in this may but in latest blog post they announce retirement of Opera Max.
“Opera Max, the app that allowed users to manage and reduce data usage across their Android mobile phone applications, was initially released in 2014. Opera has now decided to discontinue Opera Max. The product had a substantially different value proposition than our browser products, and represented a different focus for Opera. We, therefore, focus on our browsers and other upcoming services”
It's strange move by Opera, retirement of one popular app, Opera Max app after the major update. In latest update of app they changed design and improved data saving and data management tools.
