- Go to file Explorer and Click on menu (three vertical dots on top right).
- Now go to setting and check on the Show Hidden file as shown in given screenshot.
- Go to file manager and create a new folder named ".nomedia" without quotes or simply you can create any folder starting from dot '.' for eg '.noname' without quotes.
- Paste every files, images or videos inside this folder.
- Now again go to Menu (three vertical dots on top right) and Chose setting and uncheck Show Hidden Files.
- Now done, your files will be hidden from gallery as well as file explorer.
- To view these files go to File manager -> Setting and check on Show hidden Files.

Using Filename Extension Changing Method to Hide Picture/ Video/Audio from Gallery/File Manager
We are going to use concept/ methodology of image/video lockers apps such as Image Locker, Video Locker. But we don't need any locker software, we will just use the concept. You need a File Explorer which allow you to change file extension. I used File Manager in this tutorial.
- Open File Manager and open file location.
- Just rename it.
- Change file extension to xxx or something different than current one. for eg. If your file name is The Social Network.MP4 then rename it to The Social Network.xxx or The Social Network.
- Save it and check gallery or file manager, You will not find file as it is hidden.
- To view these files just rename it back to The Social Network.MP4 or default file extension. Done!
