'Why my data is decreasing so rapidely although I am not downloading any items ? ' This is most common question asked in most of android forums. If you don't stop android to consume your data, your android phone will become data dranning machine. Limited data is problem of almost every android user. I am too use limited data pack. Wifi may not avilable 24 hours so we need to back on our limited data plans. If we saved data means we saved our hardly earned money.
I collected some tips to save your data in android mobile.
1. Restrict Background data :
I was shocked to know most of data in my mobile was used in background than in foreground. There may be a lots of apps running in background and consuming your data. You can disable background data it will affect some apps such as play store. It will not allow any app running in background to consume data. Go to Setting > data and click the 3 dots on header and click on Restrict Background Data as shown in given figure. You can view how much data was consumed by apps in background from Setting->Data Usage and Select Sim/Wifi and Select app.
2. Turn off Auto update of Google Play Store : This is the one of the best feature of google play store. You can update all apps automatically but you will loose too many data. Many android app is automatically updated by google play store so our data is decreasing more than usual. Turn it off to save a lot of data. Go to Play Store >Setting> Auto update and select Do Not auto-update apps or Auto update apps Over WiFi Only.
Note: You must update apps to be secure from latest threads on apps, you are using.
3. Use Chrome's Data Saver:
If you use Google Chrome then you can enable data saver feature of chrome. It will use google server to compress page you visit before you downloading them. You can use opera-mini or opera max to save data. These browsers save more data than chrome but they are not advanced like chrome. If you use browser to browse facebook, twitter and other simple pages then you can use opera mini/ Opera Max these will save your data.3. Use Chrome's Data Saver:
4. Disable auto synchronizing : Many apps store your data in cloud storage.
This consume a lot of data you can disable it for it for all apps manually and don't forgot to disable Mobiles default backup Go to Setting-> Backup and Restore an disable Backup My Data.
Bonus: Scan for virus with g
Good Antivirus, your mobile may be affected by virus. Some virus sends your files to hackers so it consumes a lot if data. And enable Data Saving Mode if available in your phone.
